Welcome friends, we are so happy you joined our wellness movement!!

Welcome to our first blog post. My name is Jolene, I am the founder of Share This Little Light Foundation and I am super excited to share my light with all of you!

What does mental health mean to you?

Mental Health by definition is: mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. The last line is so important for all of us to understand because it is so true and we tend to not want to believe it. I think, I myself have experienced some form of mental health issue at every stage in my life, some were easier than others to overcome. We all think of mental health in different ways, that's only one definition. I like to call it a wellness journey. My journey started as soon as I could ask questions!

So as we launch our new platform, I ask everyone to think about what mental health means to you.

Sometimes as adults we hide and bury it deep down inside instead of working through it or talking about it. We need to heal from the inside out, healing takes time but talking about it and acknowledging that it exists can help the healing process and find our light.

Our signature candle is here to help spread the awareness and reach out to friends and family on a personal and tangible level. The warm glow of candle light is a reminder to let our own light shine. For me this is a wellness movement, we are not alone, you are not alone.
